For the first time in history, IFIP and IMIA (International Medical Informatics Association) will hold the joint E-Health conference as part of “Treat IT” stream of the IFIP World Computer Congress 2010 Program. Healthcare Computing and Communications (e-Health), as a new interdisciplinary field, address how to enable ICT to help people perform and receive more efficient, effective and safe healthcare services. To foster scientific discussion and disseminate new knowledge on e-Health, papers offering basic research, healthcare applications, or practical use cases will be submitted on a wide range of topics including Bioinformatics, Clinical Decision Support, Consumer Health Informatics, Data Protection, eHealth grids, Electronic Patient Record (EPR), Mobile Computing, Patient Safety Management, Security in Healthcare and Standards.
