Telehealth for every nation, community and home.
As we move into the second decade of the 21st century, many health systems are struggling to find solutions to equitable delivery of quality health care. Telehealth is increasingly looked to as a means of facilitating health care delivery, and the telecommunications revolution of the last few years now makes it possible to consider health care delivery on many
scales, from the home all the way to global initiatives.
In 2010, Australia will host Global Telehealth 2010, the 15th Annual Scientific Meeting of the International Society for Telemedicine and eHealth (ISfTeH). This meeting has become well established as the major international telehealth conference and will come to Australia for the first time in 2010. Concurrently, the meeting will also be the first annual
scientific meeting of the Australasian Telehealth Society, which was founded in 2008.
